Ullarsápa and Ullarnæring
Lopi Ullarsápa is a soap specially formulated for washing wool and other delicate materials.
Lopi Ullarnæring is a conditioner for wool and other delicate materials. Both products can be used for washing by hand or in a washing machine.
Lopi soap bar
Lopisápa is the latest soap from Ístex, developed in cooperation with the Icelandic soap manufacturer, Sápusmiðjan.
Environmental friendly soap bar for hand washing wool and other materials. The soap’s nourishing qualities makes it an ideal hand soap.
Washing instructions
Lopi Ullarsápa, recommended dosage:
Hand wash: 25 ml (ca 2 caps) in 5 litres of water
Machine wash: 75 ml (ca 6 caps) for 4-5 kg load
How to use Lopi Ullarsápa:
Hand wash
Dissolve Lopi wool soap in lukewarm water, approximately 30°C
Let the garment soak in the water for about 10 minutes, except for garments made from Plötulopi that should not be soaked.
Wash delicately.
Rinse very well or until the water is completely clear. The water might need changing a few times.
Squeeze gently, do not rub or wring out.
Smooth out and lay to dry on a flat surface in right measurements.
We recommend using the conditioner Lopi Ullarnæring as it softens and gives a beautiful texture.
Machine washing
Pour Lopi ullarsápa into the detergent comparment of the washing machine, see recommended dosage.
After the program is finished, take the load immediately out of the machine and lay to dry on a flat surface in right measurements.
Please note that not all garments made of wool and other delicate materials are machine washable.
Lopi Ullarnæring, recommended dosage:
Hand wash: 12 ml (ca 1 caps) in 5 litres of water
Machine wash: 25 ml (ca 2 caps) for 4-5 kg load
How to use Lopi Ullarnæring
After hand washing
Dissolve Lopi conditioner in lukewarm water, approximately 30°C.
Let the garment soak in the water for a few minutes.
Squeeze gently, do not rub or wring out.
No need to rinse.
Smooth out and lay to dry on a flat surface in right measurements.
The use of Lopi Ullarnæring conditioner is not recommended for garments made only from Plötulopi.
Machine washing
Pour Lopi Ullarnæring into the the fabric softner compartment of the washing machine, see recommended dosage.
After the program is finished, take the load immediately out of the machine and lay to dry on a flat surface in right measurements.

How to use Lopi soap bar:
Lather the soap with your hands in lukewarm water to make suds.
Wash according to instructions for the wool or other materials that you wash by hand with care.
For spot cleaning, gently run the soap bar over the spot and work in gently.
Rinse.
Lay wool garments flat to dry.
Let the soap bar dry after use.
