\u00cdstex was established to carry on the Icelandic wool industry that started in Mosfellsb\u00e6r in 1896. \u00cdstex buys directly from farmers and processes about 99% of all Icelandic wool. Icelandic farmers own more than 80% of the company.\u00a0<\/p>

Our commitment with Lopi is to offer high quality products from Icelandic wool to customers that choose natural, sustainable and eco-friendly living. Our wool is certified STANDARD 100 by OEKO-TEX\u00ae<\/span>.<\/span>\u00a0<\/span><\/p>

\u00cdstex produces knitting yarn made of Icelandic wool, for example, \u00c1lafosslopi, Einband, J\u00f6klalopi, L\u00e9ttlopi, and Pl\u00f6tulopi.<\/p>

\u00cdstex publishes pattern books with Icelandic design to fulfill the demand for unique, traditional and creative patterns. \u00cdstex also produces Icelandic wool blankets and Icelandic wool duvets. \u00a0<\/p>
